Saw
Yes, I saw "Saw". I have seen "Saw". If you see "Saw"....okay, enough of that fun with words. "Saw" may be the most psychologically intense movie of the year. I have not had a movie-going experience like this in quite some time.
This is also one of those movies where I can't tell you too much without giving away a lot. The majority of the movie is spent focusing on two men who are being held prisoner in a disgusting industrial restroom, with no idea who the other is or who their captor is. As the story unfolds, details are revealed that begin to piece every element together. Secrets that we did not suspect come to light in flashbacks, making "Saw" reminiscent of "Memento" for me.
"Saw" is extremely graphic, but just as much mentally torturing as it is visually. If you're into really messed up movies that will frighten and appall you in new ways, "Saw" is for you. As for me, I'm glad I went to see "Saw". I guess I'm just messed up like that. I give it an A-.
"Saw" is rated R with a running time of 100 minutes.
