Nacho Libre
"Nacho Libre" is for Jack Black fans who can also handle a few oddities along the way. Black stars as Ignacio, a poor Mexican friar struggling to put together decent meals for the orphanage that he serves at. Having always longed to be a pro wrestler, he soon discovers a way to make money for the orphans while also living his dream in the ring. Ignacio becomes the masked wrestler Nacho Libre. At the same time, he is also trying to draw the interest of the new attractive sister who comes to work with the friars.
I don't know that there's much more to say. Jack Black, as a Mexican friar, who serves orphans by day, and wrestles as a guy named Nacho Libre by night, trying to woo a nun. If that thought makes you laugh, run out to see this now. If you don't know who Jack Black is, and the thought of Mexican orphans makes you cry, this one's not for you. The biggest surprise for me came in the opening credits, as "Nacho" is a product of Nickelodeon Movies. Ignacio and Nacho are both welling-meaning guys, they just do their business in different ways. There is more heart to this movie than you would expect. I give it a B.
"Nacho Libre" is rated PG with a running time of 100 minutes.
