Meet the Fockers

Did you like "Meet the Parents"? If you answered "yes", then go get in line now for a great follow-up in "Meet the Fockers". This is what you hope for from a sequel but so rarely get. "Fockers" maintains the tone and comedy of the original, keeping you laughing throughout.

As Jack Byrnes (Robert DeNiro) pointed out to his wife at the end of "Parents", they needed to meet the parents of their daughter's fiancee, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller). Pam (Teri Polo) and her parents, along with Greg and the nephew, Little Jack, they are babysitting (Spencer & Bradely Pickren) head to Florida to meet the Fockers (Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand). Needless to say, comedy ensues.

I'm not going to give away too much, but trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. DeNiro continues to be great as the stubborn dad of the bride to be, Stiller maintains his character well, and Streisand and Hoffman (who seems to be having the time of his life) are great together. Surprisingly, it's Little Jack that gets the biggest laughs. I have no clue how they trained those kids to perform as they do, but their scenes are some of the funniest on screen.

Feeling a little stressed and in need of a laugh for the holidays? Go to "Meet the Fockers" for the remedy. I give it an A-.

"Meet the Fockers" is rated PG-13 with a running time of 2 hours.
