Forgetting Sarah Marshall

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" stars Jason Segel as Peter Bretter, a TV music composer who is dating Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), the actress starring in a CSI-like TV show. After getting dumped by Sarah, Peter completely falls apart, losing all hope in life. In an attempt to get over her, he heads to Hawaii, where it turns out she is also vacationing with a new boyfriend.

Comedy ensues. And actually it does, as the Judd Apatow team puts together a slightly uneven story. This one, however, is much better than the brutal "Drillbit Taylor" from last month. At the same time, they continue to find ways to make the most squeamish, uncomfortable scenes funny.

Warning: there is a lot of full-frontal male nudity in the first 10 minutes as Peter struts around the apartment. Certainly worth seeing if you've enjoyed the other Apatow movies. I give it a B+.

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is rated R with a running time of 111 minutes.
